Interior Design
The office was envisioned as an open-plan workspace, but with a deliberate departure from the conventional linear layout. Instead of arranging workstations in predictable rows, the tables were positioned at subtle angles, introducing movement and a sense of dynamism within the floor plate. This shift not only broke visual monotony but also created more engaging sightlines and informal pockets of interaction. The layout encourages fluid circulation and allows teams to feel connected without being confined to rigid grids.
Recognizing that open-plan environments can often suffer from poor acoustics, sound absorption was carefully addressed. Cork board ceilings with gentle undulations were introduced to soften noise levels while adding a sculptural quality overhead. The cork boards function both as acoustic absorbers and as a warm, tactile surface that enhances the character of the space. These subtle variations in form also help define zones within the larger shared environment.
The exposed structural framework offered further opportunities for intervention. Steel columns were reinterpreted as social nodes, integrated with ledges and informal seating to encourage spontaneous collaboration. Rather than concealing the building’s skeleton, the design embraced it—allowing structure to become part of the spatial narrative. Administrative areas were discreetly accommodated within transitional or in-between spaces, enabling them to feel organically embedded rather than rigidly enclosed, while still maintaining operational efficiency.
Overall, the workspace was kept light, restrained, and purposeful. Clean lines and a minimal palette ensure that the focus remains on productivity and interaction. The design expresses the essence of a contemporary office—functional, minimal, and thoughtfully detailed—while offering moments of character and warmth that make the environment engaging and human-centric.
